Some common problems and treatment methods in the UV printing process

1.Design plate making

The design of UV printing must be based on the work order to determine the output format,

such as film surface sweep or back sweep, output network cable and network cable angle.

Some special printing requirements are higher, such as 3D printing, the resolution is relatively high,

the cable angle must match the printing material to avoid hitting the net; transparent plastic sheets and aluminized paper

often need to be printed with white ink, should pay attention to the printing material expansion and contraction

The effect is to correct the film in advance to achieve the best quality.

2.The adhesion

Because the plastic sheet or gold and silver cardboard and other substrates have poor permeability,

the adsorption of ink is relatively weak, so even with UV ink printing, the ink adhesion is relatively poor,

the printing quality is not high. This problem can be solved by surface treatment of the material.

3.Ink emulsification

UV ink ink balance latitude is relatively narrow, it is easy to cause ink emulsification, dirty version,

affecting the printing quality. Solution: Reduce the printing speed and control the printing

   speed to 5000~8000 prints/hour.

4. The color sequence arrangement

Due to the limitation of the principle of ink, the ink layer on the substrate is relatively thin.

When a thick ink layer is needed, the printed matter is difficult to achieve the desired copying effect.

For example, when four-color overprinting, the commonly used printing color sequence is black, cyan,

magenta, and yellow, because black almost fills all the space, cyan, magenta,

and yellow have lower inking power, and the total amount of ink is not enough.

Causes the color to be insufficient. Solution: Change the color sequence, first print a small amount of ink,

and finally print a large amount of black, so that the amount of ink can be maximized and the color is fuller.

5. The degree of curing is to increase the saturation of the color of the printed matter.

When UV printing is performed on the surface of the substrate such as plastic sheet,

the printing pressure cannot be adjusted greatly. Firstly, the printing speed should be moderately reduced,

so that the irradiation time of the UV lamp is appropriately lengthened.

The ink is completely cured; the distance between the UV lamp and the substrate is adjusted,

and the intensity of the UV light is increased to solidify the ink.
